Life Insurance Is Growing Worldwide
I was reading some Life Insurance news today (a sad way to spend a Sunday afternoon I know) and after a while I realized that the policy in question was not even available in America. The policy is a idea that I can see taking hold and is sold in India. It is predmoninently a savings program and the life insurance term is only for 5 or 10 years so it covers very short terms by American standards.
The idea seems to be that you pay a principle sum and then you have a life policy valued at 5 times that amount. So if you put in $5k you would be covered for $25k. You do also get a guaranteed return at the end of the term which is why they offer such short terms I imagine. I think this is a great idea and I am sure it will go really well in the growing economy of India.
Would it work in the USA? I think it would be a great way for people to get life insurance and also get something back at the end of a fixed term. I doubt it will catch on as there is not enough commission in there to interest anyone. Read more on the complete plan here:-
